Explore Online Magazines with Google Currents on Android

Google Currents on Android phone, iPhone and iPad

Google has just launched a new app ‘Google Currents’ in competition to Flipboard. The service is available for both iOS and Android users and includes support for phones and tablets. You can download Google Currents App from Android market.

Though Google Currents is a free app, it gives fast and beautiful magazine-like editions for your tablet & smartphone and don’t forget its for high speed offline reading.

After installing the app, you will see few icons of pre-selected publications like ‘The Daily Beast’. You can also add other publications like Forbes, Techcrunch, Saveur, 500px and many others for in-depth articles, videos, fine photography, slideshows, live-maps, and social streams.

What I liked about Google Currents is that the app self-adapts to differently sized phones and tablets.

NOTE: If you want to install ‘Google Currents’ on android device, you will need to have android 2.2 and Up.
