Google+ redesign its user interface

Google has just reveled a completely redesigned Google+ interface with features like customizable navigation, new hangouts interface, new profile page layout, improved photo and video experiences and much more.  Just like previous Google+ updates I hope this new design will be  rolled out to everyone within a week.

Major changes in Google+

Ribbon Navigation - This will be the first thing you will notice, Google has replaced the old static navigation button at the top with a dynamic ribbon of application on the left.

The new ribbon navigation allows users to re-arrange the apps (such as photos, hangouts, games, circles) by drag-and-drop feature and also allows you to hover over certain apps to reveal a set of quick actions like hovering over photos gives you the option to add photos and view photos from your phone or album.

There’s also a new an option to hide apps that you don’t commonly use under a new “more” button.

Dedicated Hangouts page – There’s now added a dedicated hangout page which you can pin in the ribbon navigation on the left. This page will shows all popular hangouts, pro tips and other items that you don’t want to miss in a rotating billboard. The page also has a live updating list of invitations from the people in your circles.

Tweaked Stream Line – Your stream line now shows full bleed photos and video and also displays exactly who +1 or re-shares your posts.

Explore Button – This is a new entry in the navigation area which opens a page specially dedicated to shows what’s interesting and trending across the network.

Profile Pages – The profile pages has also been redesigned and it now shows much bigger photos and a new chat list that’s oriented to the right side of the browser.

Post hangouts – A new hangout button has been added below the post that allows you to start a hangout about a specific post.
